SniffOut is a community built on a love of dogs. We want it to be a safe, welcoming, and fun place for all dog owners in NYC. These guidelines help us maintain that community. By using SniffOut, you agree to follow them.
Treat every member of the SniffOut community with kindness and respect. We welcome dog owners of all backgrounds, breeds, and experience levels. Disagreements happen — but personal attacks, harassment, or bullying will not be tolerated.
Be truthful in your profile, posts, and reviews. Don't misrepresent yourself, your pet, or your experiences. Reviews must be based on genuine interactions. False or malicious reviews will be removed and may result in account suspension.
Don't share other people's personal information without their consent. This includes addresses, phone numbers, workplaces, or any other identifying information. Be thoughtful about photos — always get permission before posting photos that clearly identify other people.
Your safety matters. When meeting someone from SniffOut for the first time:

Always be honest about your dog's temperament, behavior, and health. If your dog has known aggression issues, disclose this before group walks or playdates. Keep your dog's vaccinations up to date and be responsible for their behavior in public spaces.
